Every year SPC Card releases a new card design reflecting fashion and pop culture trends that relate to students. We partnered with city counsellor Norm Kelly and Raising the Roof for the launch. For this year's card I decided to move away from the illustration used from previous years and simplify the design with a gradient. Showcasing just colour, de-cluttering the card and emphasizing the SPC logo. The gradient is consistent with digital media which explores different neon colour combinations. Brands like Spotify, MuchMusic and BuzzFeed use gradients in their branding. The blue and yellow colours are inspired from recent fashion trends, Gucci, Fendi and D&G have used blues and yellows for their following Spring Collection.
