Hello! So nice to meet you. Iʼm excited to show you the projects Iʼve worked on and how we can work together on finding solutions for your business. Here’s a little bit about me.

My name is Patrick Dos Santos. Iʼm a UX designer and obsessed with making technology as intuitive as possible. I first started understanding what UX was when my mother got her first iPad. I was amazed that a person in her 60ʼs who grew up in rural Portugal was now able to video call friends and access online banking. What was it about this device that broke down so many barriers for her? After watching her use this device, I learned that her success was a direct result of how her apps were designed. The interface was decluttered and buttons clearly marked. Sign up processes were simplified and broken down to smaller attainable steps. This made daunting tasks I tried to teach her on a traditional computer, easy and intuitive on her tablet.

I got my first opportunity at product design when I was a graphic designer at SPC. At the time the company was interested in re-building their website and mobile app which aligned with my interest in UX design. After completing a UX course at RED Academy I was tasked with designing the new website and app, prioritizing user research over graphic trends. This fostered my passion for designing products that are accessible to all users, even a new tech adopter like my mom.

Over the years of improving my practice I found myself at Corus’ technology department redesigning their lifestyle websites including: Slice, Food Network Canada and HGTV Canada.
