Maria: A Culinary Journey is a hybrid between a cookbook and a collection of my mothers memoirs. The book goes through her life and her culinary capabilities and shows how they change as the time passes. The book focuses on three stages of her life, her early childhood and teens in a village called Trigaches, then starting a family and beginning to work in restaurants in Algarve, then immigrating to Canada.
